hollandJennifer Holland, Academic Operations Coordinator

Jennifer Holland’s involvement in SPS’s ePortfolio’s project dates back to February of 2011, when she started as an ePortfolio mentor/advisor. She later served for two years as the ePortfolio Coordinator and is now the Academic Operations Coordinator. Now managing the ePortfolio program she continues to work closely with students and faculty members in the use of ePortfolios for courses and assessment. Jennifer is also an CUNY alumni, having completed  an Associates in Applied Science in Small Business Entrepreneurship at CUNY BMCC and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business at CUNY SPS.



Abigail Morrison, Academic Operations Director
Abigail Morrison has extensive background in program administration and academic operations. Prior to joining SPS in 2007, Ms. Morrison served as the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives with the United Way of Westchester and Putnam where she developed initiatives and strategies to address key community identified issues. She also held positions as the Program Director with the City University of New York’s 3-1-1 Project as well as Deputy Director with the Research Foundation of the State University of New York developing Welfare-to-Work initiatives in New York City. Ms. Morrison has a BA from Stony Brook University and a MS in Social Work from Columbia University’s School of Social Work.

Jen Photo SmallJennifer Sparrow is Academic Director for General Education at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, where she has oversight for the General Education in the Online Baccalaureate programs in Business, Communication, Sociology, Disability Studies, and Health Information Management.  Since coming to SPS in 2010, Jennifer has been involved in the ePortfolio initiative and has presented on ePortfolio program development work at the Sloan-C Conference and at the CUNY IT Conference.  Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in English literature from Wayne State University.

Barbara Walters, Professor of Sociology; Academic Director of the SPS Online BA in Sociology
Barbara Walters was a founding member of the CUNY SPS Faculty in Communication and Culture and in Business and was in 2011 appointed Academic Director for the new online BA in Sociology. She provided ePortfolio leadership for the CUNY SPS faculty in Cohort A of the Making Connections Seminar and Workshop group. Professor Walters currently chairs the ePortfolio Subcommittee of the CUNY Committee on Academic Technology and served on the Program Committee for the first Association for Authentic, Experiential, and Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL) Conference in July 2010. With other team members, she has presented on ePortfolios within SPS, at CUNY-wide conferences, and at regional and national conferences.
